It’s always a privilege for me to converse with gifted man of God. Just recently I had an opportunity to talk to Prophet Edd Branson and we spoke about something that I have always thought to be a complex subject, poverty.
As a success coach and writer, I found it fascinating to hear the views of a man of God, as such my 7 Questions to Prophet Edd centred on poverty and success.
The responses from Prophet Edd Branson were not only informative but very interesting and educational.
What is your definition of success?
Prophet Edd: Everyone has got their own idea of what success is as well as poverty depending on one’s own situation. Many people are disturbed about the fact that they are poor or end up being in poor families and therefore constantly believe it’s a hindrance to their success.
What’s your take on this Prophet Edd?
Prophet Edd: Some people say the notion poverty is not a hindrance to success is a myth and therefore like to criticise the idea that hard work, positive thinking and such will enable one overcome poverty. Poverty is a form of success. Successful at being poverty bound is why, so many people are successful at misunderstanding why the situation still exists. There is no boundary to success because we are all successful at what we do.
So, are you saying they are people who have unwittingly made poverty their area of success?
Prophet Edd: That is precisely what I am saying here Dr. Pongo there are people who has taken possession of poverty they have grabbed it by the scruff of neck and pulled it so close to themselves such that they have become one with it. They have become so successful at poverty the world actually points at them in an attempt to explain poverty.
What is the way out of such a fix how does one escape poverty and become a success at hindering poverty’s grip?
Prophet Edd: So, if you want to be a successful hindrance to poverty, succeed at understanding how a change in the comprehension of reality helps. Though a lower economic standard may hinder success do not fret. Many who live amongst us and those who have gone before us have shown and demonstrated that one can shake themselves loose from the grip of poverty. It doesn’t matter which part of the world you come from there is in your neighbourhood a story of someone who rose from rags to riches. People who believed that poverty was not their portion and refused to embrace it.
So, is it that simple as not giving up is that the difference between the rich and poor?
Prophet Edd: The rich are getting richer and the poor poorer because the poor always give up. Bone crushing poverty can make succeeding at most anything in life very difficult but there is one form of success that cannot be hindered by poverty never allow you faith in Jesus Christ to be bankrupt always trust God and you will overcome poverty and find meaningful success and purpose in life.
What would you say are the main keys to success?
Prophet Edd: There are four keys to being successful;
- Hard work and positive thinking.
- Willingness to dare to be different from everyone
- Making the decision to be more than what life has handed you.
- Grabbing wealth; because if you wait for wealth, it certainly will not find you.
There are many stories about people who were poor but worked and gave it their all, eventually they became successful. Their stories inspire us and give us hope that we can reach any goal and overcome any obstacle in life no matter how great it is.
What would you like to say in closing just to round up this discussion?
Prophet Edd: Many successful people do not fit the stereotypes of the wealthy.
In fact, they did not grow up privileged neither did they go to great schools and in any case, they did not have special connections, yet they became successful. However, what they have in common is their dedications and hard work.
Bear in mind that what you think today is what you get tomorrow and if you do not visualize what you want you will never get it.
I had to put on a police uniform and stand on the pulpit to teach and declare to my church that this year 2018, it is illegal for you to be broke. It is illegal for you to be tormented by anyone or anything and any entity that shall try to break the above laws shall be arrested and sentenced to immediate imprisonment in Jesus’ name. Find my message titled “The Importance of Law” it is my hope that you will be inspired by it.
